We are delighted to offer you our historical 3-bedroom flat, only a few steps from the beautiful Lake Michigan. The decor is a classic mix of beautiful antiques and modern farmhouse fun. This updated, original hardwood floored home from the early 1900’s offers you warm and cozy, with modern touches to meet your every day needs. Walking distance to downtown, minutes from the beach. Enjoy your walk with a warm cup of coffee and the amazing views of the lake.

Good to know

Kids toys in the closets, as well as a pack-n-play. This property also features a warm natural gas fireplace for those cool nights (just flip a switch to turn it on!) and also has central air for those warm summer days. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan. There is a front-load washer and dryer available for use, with the inclusion of detergent for your laundry needs. This destination is excellent choice for couples, groups, and families including small children. The closest swimming beach is North Beach just two miles away. We clean and sanitize with electrolyzed water (hypochlorous acid) an all-natural FDA-approved all-purpose cleaner. This means no harsh chemicals that can bother asthma-sufferers. All sheets, duvets, and towels are all laundered with free and clear detergent. Other Details to Note

Important: We do not allow smoking of any kind in the house. If we suspect smoking in the house you will be asked to leave. If the house smells of smoke when you leave, you will be charged your full security deposit. Due to the exponential increase of party incidents since COVID-19 restrictions, Airbnb countered with a complete global ban on all parties and events hosted in Airbnb rentals. Airbnb recommends the use of a noise monitor system, and we have installed one of their recommended systems which allows for guest notification if noise levels are at a level that could disturb neighbors. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BOOK THIS PROPERTY. There is quiet period between the hours of 10pm-7am, as you will have neighbors above you.

House Rules

This is a three-unit building. First and second floor units are Airbnbs. There is potential for noise including walking, talking, TV, etc. Most guests have a wonderful time, but it’s important to set expectations for the property. Quiet hours are from 9pm-7am.

Accessibility

Neighborhood

This is historic Racine with tons of charm and history. You're two blocks from the lake and it's worth grabbing a coffee and taking a stroll by the lake in the morning. Lots of mansions and beautiful homes nearby. You will pass the SC Johnson Headquarters near the lake on the way to the flat. Across the street is an Ascension hospital (no ER at this location, so don't worry about hearing sirens). Other historic homes nearby. Please be advised that Racine is a diverse city and this neighborhood is no different.

Guest Access

The house sits just before Main Street which is full of historic homes and lakefront views and leads to paved walking paths along the lake. There are parks in walking distance. This is a first-floor unit, so you do have neighbors upstairs. We ask you to limit your noise after 10pm, including no music playing. There is a driveway dedicated for Airbnb guests and plenty of street parking.

We absolutely loved staying here. Exquisitely renovated classic space with high ceilings, heavenly big 5-star beds, beautiful woodwork and floors, and great blackout curtains and new appliances. It’s a couple of blocks from the historic homes on Main Street and the lake, and the parking was super helpful. Enjoy!

Was very grateful to spend a long weekend with friends in a nice space with a lot of natural wood and big windows to let in a lot of light. This was also quite possibly one of the cleanest airbnbs I’ve stayed in. Cisco & his team were all extremely communicative, and I greatly appreciated their responsiveness, respect for our needs, and the precision/accuracy of information they provided regarding the flat’s ability to accommodate accessibility needs within our group (before we’d even booked the place; though it definitely made the choice to stay here easy). Would definitely visit again!

Find us

You're about a 10 minute walk from downtown Racine, where there are shops and restaurants. North beach is just a two-mile drive. Plenty of street parking and you can utilize the spot in the driveway furthest from the house. Garage is not available for use.
